Accente Services

Accente Gastronomie Service GmbH is a subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt Venue GmbH & Co. KG. With over 230 salaried employees, 3,000 freelance part-time workers and more than 40 million Euros in annual turnover for 2012, Accente is Germany’s largest trade fair gastronomy company.

Our range of services comprises operating all of the gastronomy units and shops at the Frankfurt Messe convention centre site, banquet and event catering, exhibition stand catering and supply, personnel services and equipment rental. We provide the entire package, all combined with the very best in customer service.

The basis of Accente’s operative business is our gastronomy services at Frankfurt’s Messe convention centre site, where we operate restaurants, café bars, bistros and mobile snack and beverage stands in all of the exhibition halls and at the site’s outdoor public spaces.

At present, we have 22 restaurants to look after the culinary needs of the site’s trade fair exhibitors and visitors. Each of the restaurants has its own design and food concept, enabling every guest to find precisely what he or she is looking for. Around two-thirds of these facilities are contemporary self-service restaurants covering the full spectrum from trendy sushi bars to market hall restaurants, and extending on up to design restaurants such as “Veranda” in Hall 11 which was specially designed by star architect Mattheo Thun. Our seven international full-service restaurants offer guests comfortable seating along with great food and atmospheres ranging from pub to steakhouse.

Our café bars, bistros, snack bars and mobile stands can be found by hungry visitors looking for a quick pick-me-up on virtually every corner throughout the Frankfurt Messe convention centre site. Our retail gastronomy operations are on hand in over 50 café bars and bistros for more than 200 event days each year to cover the broadest imaginable array of trade fair visitor structures. They offer guests a wide range of quality fast food with something for everyone: from sushi to panino sandwiches, water to champagne, salad to sausage and espresso to latte macchiato.

Accente’s Exhibition Stand delivery service provides exhibitors both before and during the event with everything they need on-site, i.e. beverages of all kinds, warm and cold foods, sweets, coffee, refrigeration and cooking appliances, tableware, household goods and equipment and more.

Our full-range of both products and services, our flexibility and above all our uniquely close proximity to the customer are crucial factors for our success in this sector. Since all of our administration, production and logistics facilities are housed on the convention centre site in the “Dependance” building, the foods and beverages we serve are delivered fresh and fast to the exhibition halls.

Accente’s Banquet and Catering Department activities have increased significantly in recent years, growing and expanding to include exhibition stand parties, conferences, meetings and most importantly, major professional events. Last year’s “big event” highlights were the MTV Europe Music Awards, the Aida Night of the Proms, an IT enterprise’s world conference lasting several days and the 100th anniversary of health care concern Fresenius. Whether you need our banquet and catering services for 12, 120 or 12,000 guests, our team brings culinary excellence combined with experience, advice and commitment to events of any size.

Accente’s Staff Service Department manages all of our salaried employees and our pool of freelance part-timers, and additionally functions as a personnel agency to supply exhibitors and event organisers with staff for their events. We can offer you the full range of highly qualified personnel from hosts and hostesses to cooks, chefs, food and beverage service personnel, cashiers, admission services, wardrobe services and exhibition stand staff.

The Accente services portfolio is rounded out by our Equipment Rental Department, boasting an extensive range to fill your every need for short-term use at events or at your trade fair exhibition stand. Our rental equipment covers everything from dishwashing machines, refrigerators and cooling appliances to entire kitchen modules, high tables, barstools and counters.

Our eight supermarkets and three special newsagents and souvenir shops keep trade fair visitors and exhibitors supplied with all the daily necessities for a trade fair visit and a stay in Frankfurt. Here you will find beverages, snacks, fruit, fresh baked goods, cosmetics and personal hygiene articles, exhibition stand supplies, household goods, writing instruments, souvenirs and of course international press publications.

Accente’s production facilities are busy day in and day out creating a delectable variety of fresh kitchen delights for trade fairs, events and the Messe cafeterias. All of our snack products are prepared here fresh in the early morning for the trade fair day, while preparations already begin for the buffets, menus and catering assignments scheduled for later in the day. Our sushi production, supervised by our highly experienced sushi master chef, is housed in a separate part of our large kitchen. Thousands of portions of fresh sushi are prepared here overnight in compliance with the strictest possible quality control standards.

In June of 2009, Accente opened Depot 1899 Wirtshaus Frankfurt, a meticulously restored restaurant featuring a contemporary design on the premises of a former streetcar depot in Frankfurt’s popular nightlife district of Sachsenhausen. This is the ideal location to meet for lunch, try one of the restaurant’s own natural, unfiltered cloudy Depot Beers or enjoy some of the classics from the region’s own cuisine. Depot 1899 offers seating for up to 850 visitors which can be arranged flexibly in the restaurant, which is open daily, and in two additional function areas.

These efforts focus particularly on buying products regionally, preventing rubbish and waste and using our energy efficiently.
